BA (Hons), Graduate Research Assistant
Safiye joined the Kada team in January 2020 after completing a BA degree in geography at the University of Durham. Throughout her studies, Safiye enjoyed undertaking primary and secondary research across a wide variety of topics, especially socio-political topics and issues. This helped to develop her research skills and stimulated her general interest in economic research.
Safiye’s key strengths are in undertaking economic impact evaluations, report writing and research/market scoping studies. Key research topics include innovation and technology, business improvement, enterprise, and low carbon initiatives. She has also researched the impact of economic shocks at an international, national, and regional level.
Since joining Kada, Safiye has worked with a broad range of public sector clients, including several local authorities, Local Economic Partnerships, Higher Education Institutions, and the NHS. She has worked with a number of these clients on ERDF evaluations.
Safiye’s skills include: desk-based research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, stakeholder consultations and engagement, economic impact assessment and evaluations, time management and report writing.
Outside of Work:
In her spare time, Safiye likes taking her dog for a walk in the Peak District, rowing or exploring Sheffield’s independent cafes.
Whilst at university, Safiye worked at an alpaca farm.
